Mountain Elgon National Park is situated in the eastern part of Uganda, on our adventure to the conservation area our 4 days Mountain Elgon National Park will take you to explore the best of eastern Uganda visiting the Sezibwa waterfall, source of the Nile, Sipi Falls visiting the last of the falls along the foothills of the mountain Elgon the hike to the last three falls is an amazing experience as you get to see the lower side of Lake Kyoka, on the tour, you will have the chance to hike mountain Elgon to the highest peak of Wagagai. The park is a transboundary conservation area being shared by Uganda and Kenya.

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Jinja, visit the Sezibwa Falls, Mabira forest zipline, and boat cruise at the source of the Nile.
On this day you will be picked up by our company representative who will meet greet and transfer you to Jinja through the Kampala -Mukono highway, it is a beautiful drive through the outskirts of the city, our first stop will be at the Sezibwa Falls, these lie along the river Sezibwa traditionally said to have been birthed by a woman called Nakkungu it is a significant cultural point of Buganda, it is said that she gave birth to twins on of which was a river, we will then proceed shortly to Mabira forest for Zip lining while here lots of birds in the background, we will proceed to jinja finishing the day with a sunset cruise to the source of one of the longest rivers in the world. Later we will proceed to check in at the lodge that has been built for your dinner and stay overnight.
Day 2: Transfer to Mountain Elgon National Park
Early morning breakfast after which you will be transferred to Sipi Falls early morning, through the amazing towns and swamps, the extensive growing tea and rice plantations are beautiful the drive takes 2-4 hours so arrive in time for a hot lunch and an afternoon hike of the Sipi fall for sightseeing, the fall of the river and view is angelic, depending on time, we will experience the caves along the rocky surfaces, visit a few coffee plantations, returning to the lodge for dinner and staying overnight at the lodge that has been booked for your dinner and staying overnight
Optional activity – Abseiling Sipi River.
Day 3: Climbing Mountain Elgon.
Following an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the Kapkwai Park Center for hiking into the forest to the extinct volcano, the main feature of the conservation area is the mountain Elgon which has the world’s largest caldera growing an afro-montane forest, along the hike there is a chance to see monkeys like the black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, and many bird species, for example the grey throated barbet, sunbirds, bee-eaters to mention a few, the composition after the forest is amazingly magical, the groundsel and giant lobelia are impressive to be apart, you will have a picnic lunch and later return down slope to the lodge for dinner and staying overnight.
Day 4: Departure
Morning breakfast, after which we will return to Kampala or Entebbe for your international flight back home.
